Senior Accountant
Position Overview
RecruitGo is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant based in the Philippines to join our finance team and play a key role in driving financial integrity, governance, and performance across our operations. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering accurate financial insights and improvements.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement (10%)
- Support and contribute to a high-performing financial control team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Prioritize high-impact financial projects and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Communicate financial performance and insights clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support team development.
General & Technical Accounting (15%)
- Manage all aspects of financial control including reporting, reconciliations, payroll, and cash flow.
- Assist with monthly Board Pack preparation and review.
- Prepare and analyze annual financial statements across multiple entities.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and forecasting.
- Support treasury operations, including debt management and foreign currency transactions.
- Work with external advisors on tax compliance and planning.
- Partner with cost and profit centre managers to drive financial performance.
Financial Governance (15%)
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards (IFRS).
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure reporting accuracy.
Process Improvement & Standardisation (15%)
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance finance operations.
- Standardize workflows and incorporate industry best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Experience working with Australian clients and knowledge of local compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a multi-site or high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication abilities to clearly present financial information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Hands-on approach with expertise in financial analysis, statement preparation, and reconciliation.
