Position Overview
RecruitGo is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Global Compliance Manager to lead and oversee our international compliance operations. This role will ensure that RecruitGo and its clients adhere to labor, tax, data privacy, and employment regulations in all jurisdictions where we operate. The Compliance Manager will also oversee and support the operations and compliance performance of our Southeast Asian offices, ensuring consistency with global standards and local legal requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain RecruitGo’s global compliance strategy across multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor and interpret changes in international employment, tax, labor, and data privacy laws, ensuring the company remains compliant.
- Oversee and coordinate compliance programs and activities in Southeast Asian offices, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore.
- Ensure all regional offices operate in accordance with local laws and align with RecruitGo’s global compliance standards and policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments across SEA locations to evaluate risk and compliance status; develop mitigation plans as needed.
- Collaborate with local teams to implement training, reporting protocols, and documentation standards aligned with regional legal frameworks.
- Act as the central point of contact for SEA legal inquiries, regulatory filings, and local government communications.
- Serve as the primary compliance advisor for internal teams, including Legal, HR, Finance, Sales, and Client Success.
- Create and manage a compliance calendar to ensure timely execution of audits, filings, license renewals, and reporting obligations.
- Maintain and update internal policies, procedures, and controls to reflect current legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support client due diligence and RFP responses by providing compliance-related documentation and insights.
- Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and authorities in different regions to ensure accurate and up-to-date legal practices.
- Train internal teams and clients on compliance best practices and regulatory updates.
- Build and lead compliance team that will directly report to the Head of Global Compliance.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role.
- Strong understanding of international and regional employment laws, especially across SEA countries.
- Experience in managing cross-border compliance programs and audits.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret legal requirements and translate them into practical internal policies.
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Legal or compliance certification is an advantage.
